How much does it cost to volunteer?

It is free to volunteer. Hotel stay and travel costs are the responsibility of the volunteer.

Can I sign up to volunteer for a specific position?

Yes, although it is not guaranteed. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Will the competitive events include all types of utility facilities?

No. But water, natural gas, power, and telecommunications will be involved.

Will volunteers have to sign a liability release?

Yes. Waivers will be available on site and must be completed as part of the on site registration process in order to volunteer.

How many volunteers can come from a single company?

There is no limitation on volunteers by company.

Will a paramedic be on the grounds?

First Aid kits and EMTs will be on site.

Will a concession stand be set up with soft drinks and food?

No. But competitors, visitors, and volunteers will be provided with snacks and drinks. Lunch will be provided.

When do I need to check-in for the Rodeo?

All volunteers must check in on Thursday evening – December 8, 2022, at 6:30 PM with the ILR Planning Committee. STAND BY FOR MEETING LOCATION DETAILS.

All volunteers must register through this website. A volunteer meeting will take place on the evening of December 8 at the check-in event. Stand by for additional details or contact the ILR planning committee. Please plan travel plans accordingly. Traffic and weather events may cause serious delays at the airport and to the hotel.

What about parking at the Rodeo grounds?

All competitors and volunteers will be shuttled to and from the Hotel. Volunteers may drive separately, but there is very limited parking available. If you choose to drive separately, please consider carpooling with other volunteers.

Is Personal Protective Equipment required to be a volunteer?

YES. Bring the same PPE your company would require on a jobsite. This includes proper footwear, hard hat, and high visibility garments. Dress appropriately for the weather we will be experiencing that week.
